Motorcycle accidents are currently the leading cause of death at work in many developing countries. This is because labor standards, which apply to other activities with even lower risk , do not cover the population that uses a motorcycle as a work tool.
Motorcycle workers do not receive adequate protection elements according to the risk of the activity they perform, nor professional training that enables them to operate their work equipment (motorcycle) in a safe and responsible manner.
The objective of this program is to accompany governments, companies and entities related to occupational safety to implement policies that allow motorcycle work to be recognized and regulated as a high-risk activity .

The Protocol of Safe Practices for Motorcyclist Work issued by the Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Colombia is one of the program successful examples.
Actions and Results
The implementation of Occupational Safety programs for Motorcyclists within companies has resulted in real reductions in the morbidity and mortality rates of working riders above 90%, even reaching success cases of zero accidents.
